The situation
An e-commerce agency needed to produce and edit a couple of dozen SEO service pages. For every page, a content editor went through with dozens of comments that then had to be applied by hand. The work was slow and the quality varied page by page and day by day, depending on who happened to be writing and how tired they were.
The solution
We built an AI-assisted editing process where the editor's role stays, but the manual work goes away. The editor's comments are read in from files, the changes are applied consistently across the whole page, and a change log appears alongside each page. The editor sees exactly what changed and why.
The process is built with Claude and Claude Code and tied into the agency's real content production workflows.
How the process works
- Comments in. The editor's notes are read straight from the files, not retyped by hand.
- Whole-page revisions. Fixes are applied uniformly across the entire page, so nothing is left half-done.
- Change log. A clear log appears alongside each page showing what changed and why, so the editor keeps control.
- Consistent SEO quality. All 20+ service pages follow the same structure and keyword logic.
Why the editor's role stayed
The goal was never to replace the editor. It was to remove the manual work. The substantive call, what makes good copy and what doesn't, stays with the human; the AI takes over the repetitive, mechanical part where fixes have to be applied consistently across the whole page. That is exactly what keeps the quality even, without the editor having to carry every change over by hand. It's a principle that runs through our work: the human stays where a decision is needed.
The result
Content production runs at consistent quality across every page, and the editor's time goes to substantive decisions instead of manual edits. The repetitive mechanical work is gone, and the same team can edit more pages without the quality wavering.
The same AI-assisted content production approach can be repeated anywhere there's high-volume, repetitive content work. If your team produces a lot of content and the quality varies from person to person and day to day, let's talk about it.
